It constantly amazes me how true this is.
Of late my days have absolutely been running me. My house is a mess, I am completing week 3 work in week 6 and don’t talk to me about my diploma and as for fitness!! HA! The only fitness I have been doing is wondering if my butt will fit-n-ess pair of jeans … ba dum bomp!
I looked up this week from the chaos and realised that it was getting beyond a joke. So I have been slowly picking up the pieces. Small steps at a time. Thankfully most of the essentials were still getting done, so the kids have been in clean uniforms and fed and all the rest of it. Even I have been in clean clothes which is a plus. But things like vacuuming, study, mowing the lawn, getting extras that the kids need (hockey gear anyone) has been fighting a losing battle. So last night I wiped over the bathroom, it was a 5 minute job done at the end of the day, everything got put back in it’s spot, counters, doors and walls wiped. Walking in there this morning was such a relief. I like it when the house is clean and tidy.
Todays job has been getting the kitchen back to rights along with the dining table. Tomorrow will be vacuuming and laundry.
Along with getting back on my yoga mat. I managed to maintain the habit for a week but fell off the wagon over the Easter weekend. Too much to do and no where near enough time to get it done I suppose. At least that is my excuse and I am sticking to it. But I do miss that morning and evening routine. It was a really soothing routine to bracket my day.
So my goal is to get back up and run my day tomorrow, up at 6 to get back on my mat!
